Does performing the Hajj obligation affect the son's maintenance instead of personal maintenance for the soundness of the Hajj?

It is permissible for a person to perform Hajj at the expense of another, such as his son, brother, or friend, and this does not affect the validity of the Hajj. It is not a condition for the validity of Hajj that a person spend his own money on it. The Permanent Committee has affirmed this, clarifying that Hajj is valid even if another person covers most of the expenses, or if it is from the father's money, or if it is a prize from a religious competition.
