What is the ruling on working for a software company whose operations include a part related to banking software, given that the questioner seeks to move to it after performing Istikhara and consulting, due to his feeling of dissatisfaction with his current job at an Islamic software company?

We advise you to continue working for the company that produces Islamic software and to try to rectify its errors and conflicting decisions. As for working for a company that mixes what is permissible with what is forbidden, we do not advise you to do so, unless your work is restricted to the permissible field. However, if your contract obliges you to work in forbidden fields, such as software for interest-based banks, then it is not permissible for you to accept this job.
