There is no harm in permanently applying artificial nails if it is due to the breakage of natural nails resulting from calcium deficiency. However, applying them for adornment and beautification is impermissible. It is permissible to pray with these nails, but they must be removed during Wudu (ablution) and (ritual bath) to ensure that water reaches beneath them, based on the statement of the Permanent Committee: "If the polish has a substance on the surface of the nails, Wudu is not valid without removing it before Wudu. If it does not have a substance, Wudu is valid, like henna." This applies even more so to artificial nails.
