What is fanaticism in religion?

Bigotry is the act of gathering around something and supporting it. It is of two types: praiseworthy, when supporting the truth, and blameworthy, when involving injustice, innovation (bid'ah), or a matter of legitimate scholarly disagreement that leads to division and animosity.
