A husband's statement to his wife, "I don't want her, I will divorce her," or "I want to divorce her," or "You are not my wife," if uttered with the intention of frightening her, does not effect a divorce. Similarly, saying "I have divorced her" falsely does not, according to the more preponderant opinion, effect a divorce religiously. It is advisable to resolve marital disputes with wisdom and to beware of anger, as it is the key to evil.
