Which is better: to complete the recitation of the Qur’an in the Tarawih prayer during Ramadan, or to recite a thousand verses in each Tarawih prayer? And is it permissible to recite the two parts of Tabarak and Amma and two other surahs to complete a thousand verses in the last ten nights every night, or is it obligatory to vary them?

Reciting the Quran frequently during the night vigil (Qiyam al-Layl) is an act of worship with immense reward. Whoever recites ten verses will not be recorded among the heedless. Whoever recites one hundred verses will be recorded among the devout (al-Qanitin). And whoever recites one thousand verses will be recorded among those given great recompense (al-Muqantirin). The one who recites a thousand verses has the highest reward, and the night vigil is "more effective for inner contemplation and more suitable for recitation." If you have recited the entire Quran in Ramadan except for more than one juz' (part), then it is better to complete the Quran first, and then recite a thousand verses every night during the last ten days to attain the virtue of completing the Quran and increase your reward. There is no objection to reciting Juz' Tabarak and Juz' 'Amma along with two (other) surahs.
