Is supplicating to God to hasten a good ending considered an transgression in supplication?

It appears that supplicating for hastened death with a good ending is not considered an transgression if the reason is good presumption of Allah, or longing to meet Him, or fear of religious tribulation. Many of the Salaf wished for death for these reasons. Among them were those who wished for death due to their good presumption of Allah and their longing to meet Him, and among them were those who wished for death for fear of religious tribulation, such as Umar ibn al-Khattab, Zaynab bint Jahsh, and Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz. As for wishing for death due to a harm that has befallen a person, it is disliked and forbidden.
