Ibn al-Qayyim has valuable books on spiritual edification, admonition, and the nurturing and refinement of the self. In terms of reading order, they are: Al-Dā’ wal-Dawā’ (The Sufficient Answer), then Al-Fawā’id, then Igāthat al-Lahfān, then Tarīq al-Hijratayn wa Bāb al-Sa’ādatayn, then Hādī al-Arwāh, then Madārij al-Sālikīn.
