Is it true that the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, said to Abu Bakr: "Indeed, God is pleased with you, so are you pleased with God?"

The mentioned report is not found in the books of Sunnah. However, in the book "Fadail As-Sahaba" (Virtues of the Companions) by Ibn Hanbal, there is a saying attributed to Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, which implies that whoever utters it loves them, and that Allah and the angels love them for Allah's love for them, and that Allah loves whoever loves them, connects with whoever connects with them, and hates whoever hates them. The verses of the Quran and authentic Hadith have testified to Allah's contentment with Abu Bakr and the Companions in general, and their contentment with Him, such as the Almighty's saying: "And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment." Abu Bakr and the Companions are the best of creation after the prophets, and Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and their virtues are known as a necessity of the religion.
