Is it permissible for a wife to take the children, prevent the father from seeing them, and leave the home, especially when the father desires to travel?

A wife must move with her husband wherever he wishes, unless there is a legitimate religious impediment. If the wife refuses to travel without a legitimate reason, or leaves the house without her husband's permission, she is considered disobedient (nashiz). During the marriage, custody is a right shared by both spouses, and the wife is not permitted to prevent the husband from seeing his children. If the father wishes to travel for a permanent relocation, he has a stronger claim to the custody of his children, and the decisive authority in such disputes is the Sharia court. Both spouses must be rational, strive for harmony, and prioritize the best interests of their children.
