What is our duty, and how do we safeguard the Ummah from the leaders of the hypocrites who assault its constants, cast doubt upon its established principles, and strive to strip the society of its Islamic identity?

The danger posed by hypocrites is greater than that posed by overt disbelievers, because their harm is internal and threatens the very foundations of the religion. It is obligatory to strive against them and be firm with them, as this is one of the greatest acts of obedience and most important duties, and takes precedence over striving against polytheists. Striving against them involves knowledge, clear argumentation, exposing their true nature, and protecting the Ummah from their evil.
