How can one speak the truth in a society that accepts nothing but hypocrisy, and in which the one who speaks it is considered a devil in their eyes?
A Muslim must speak the truth and utter what is right, and fear no blame from any blamer for the sake of Allah. He must enjoin good and forbid evil, in accordance with His (the Almighty's) saying: "And enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, that is [part of] the matters [requiring] determination" and "They strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a blamer." The Companions pledged allegiance to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to speak the truth and not fear the blame of any blamer for the sake of Allah. Enjoining good and forbidding evil is a collective obligation (fard kifaya). Denunciation with the hand is waived if one fears for their life or property, and its disapproval remains in the heart. The earth will not be devoid of a group manifest upon the truth until the command of Allah comes.
