How many carats must be returned to the questioner's paternal aunts to restore justice in the distribution of the inheritance, in which males were favored over females unequally between two land plots of different value?

Among the greatest prohibitions is injustice in the division of inheritances, for Allah Almighty says: (These are the limits [set by] Allah, and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be admitted by Him to gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein; and that is the great attainment. But whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger and transgresses His limits - He will admit him to a Fire, abiding eternally therein, and he will have a humiliating punishment). This prohibition is further emphasized if it involves usurping land and severing ties of kinship.

If a man dies leaving three sons and four daughters, the inheritance is divided into ten equal shares: each son receives two shares, and each daughter receives one share. To rectify the injustice, the following can be done:

1. Take 6.8 qirats of the land of Al-Dalalah from the paternal aunts and give them 6.4 qirats of the land of Al-Khamis. This is obligatory if the aunts demand it. 2. Value both lands fairly and pay the difference to the paternal aunts in cash or land. This is not permissible except with their consent, for Allah Almighty says: (unless it is a trade [carried out] by mutual consent among you), and for the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): (Indeed, buying and selling is by mutual consent). What is taken or given to them must be divided equally among them.
