What is the wisdom behind creating pigs, even though eating their meat is forbidden?

One of the wisdoms behind the creation of the pig is that it serves as a witness to the punishment of a nation that belittled the Law of Allah, whereupon Allah transformed them into apes and pigs. This is part of Allah Almighty's wisdom in transforming those He transformed from among the nations into various forms befitting their crimes.
