Is the narration attributed to Ibn Mas'ud sound: "Treat your heart, for Allah's need from His servants is the soundness of their hearts"? And is it permissible to use the phrase "Allah's need"?

The saying, "Cure your heart, for Allah's need of His servants is the soundness of their hearts," is attributed to Al-Hasan al-Basri. Scholars have interpreted this saying to mean that what Allah desires from His servants is the soundness of their hearts from corruption. This soundness is achieved through knowing Him, fearing Him, loving Him, and relying on Him. This is the essence of Tawhid (monotheism), for "there is no soundness for hearts until their worshipped deity is Allah alone, without any partner."
