What is the share of each of the mentioned heirs (daughter, wife, mother, sister, half-brother) in the inheritance of a deceased man?
If a man dies and leaves behind a wife, a daughter, a mother, a full or half-sister (from the father's side), and a maternal brother, and he has no other heirs, then the wife receives one-eighth, the daughter one-half, the mother one-sixth, and the remainder goes to the sister by ta'sib (residuary heirship). The maternal brother inherits nothing due to the presence of the daughter. However, if he leaves a son but no daughter, then the son receives the remainder after the mother's and wife's shares, and the sister and maternal brother are excluded. We caution that inheritance issues are critical and complex, and they should be referred to courts for investigation and to ensure there are no wills, debts, or other rights taking precedence over the heirs' rights.
