Memorizing answers to questions is considered a form of study that qualifies one to achieve grades, and there is no difference between it and taking the reference from which the teacher prepares, then comprehending and memorizing it. However, a calligrapher drawing the required design, or giving the questions to a teacher to answer them, is considered cheating.
