Does excessive movement of the finger during the Tashahhud invalidate the prayer, especially given that the noble Hadith states that three movements in one position invalidate the prayer?

Pointing with the finger in prayer is a sunnah agreed upon to repel Satan. There are hadiths that indicate moving it, which is the view of some scholars. It does not invalidate the prayer because it is a slight movement, or because the one performing it relies on the authenticity of the hadith according to them. The jurists have agreed that excessive movement invalidates the prayer, but they differed on defining what constitutes excessiveness. Moving the finger is a point of contention among the jurisprudential schools. The Malikis believe in moving it right and left throughout the tashahhud, the Hanbalis at the word of majesty "Allah," the Hanafis at the saying "La ilaha" and closing it at "illa Allah," and the Shafi'is at "illa Allah" without moving it. The difference of opinion in this matter is a mercy.
