Is it permissible to continue working as an accountant for a company that takes out interest-based loans to provide food supplies to prisoners, knowing the difficulty of finding another job, the existing debts, financial need, health problems, obstacles in searching for work, and security harassments in the home country?

It is not permissible to work in a field that involves recording usurious interests in the company's ledgers or assisting in spending them in ways other than those prescribed by Sharia. This is because it constitutes forbidden usury (riba), and assisting in it is prohibited, as Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Recording these interests is forbidden, and it is not permissible to continue doing so except in cases of extreme necessity, which is defined as a strong probability of perishing, or unbearable hardship, or inability to secure the necessities of life.
