How can one deal with a troublesome father who files lawsuits, refuses amicable solutions, damages household property, and drains money on fictitious cases with lawyers, while the son is the sole provider for the family and bears increasing financial burdens?

Allah has commanded kindness to parents and speaking to them with gracious words. It is permissible to alert the father to his harmful actions in a good manner, and to forbid him from evil as long as he does not become angry. If he becomes angry, one must remain silent and avoid argumentation. Forbidding evil is not considered disobedience if done in the best manner. One must be kind to the father and patient with his harm. It is not obligatory to rectify what the father has corrupted, but rectifying it to avoid problems is part of perfect righteousness and kindness.
