Is the concealment of love intended in the Hadith a concealment from everyone, or only from the beloved, given that some friends have been informed of it?

The Hadith, "Whoever loves passionately, yet conceals it, remains chaste, and dies, is a martyr," is weak; in fact, it has been described as fabricated. However, the meaning it conveys, encouraging chastity and piety, is sound, for Allah has commanded us to be pious and patient. Part of piety is chastity from what Allah has forbidden. Concealing such love is required, so a person should not mention it to the beloved or to anyone else, because doing so involves displaying evil and indecency, and it serves as a pretext for temptation.
