Is it permissible to repair televisions, recorders, video players, and receivers?

It is not permissible to repair electronic devices such as phones and video players unless it is known or highly probable that the user employs them for permissible purposes. However, if it is known or highly probable that the user employs them for forbidden purposes, then it is not permissible to assist them in repairing these devices, due to the Almighty’s saying: (And do not cooperate in sin and aggression). The Permanent Committee has issued a fatwa stating that earnings from this work are not good because these devices are often used for forbidden matters.
