One must abstain from all things that break the fast in at the break of dawn, for Allah Almighty says: "And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]." So, whoever abstains at the break of dawn, their fast is valid. But whoever delays abstaining past its break, their fast is invalidated and they must make up for it.
