Is it permissible for a young man to ask a girl to wait for him to marry her after three years until he resolves his problems, or for them to pledge to marry each other without any legitimate bond?

Marriage is a good thing that should be hastened due to its benefits, such as tranquility and chastity. Allah may also facilitate the resolution of problems through it. The mother's desire for money does not necessitate delaying marriage, for marriage itself is a means of sustenance. Allah the Almighty says: (And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing). There is no harm in requesting to wait for marriage, but it should not be done if it leads to embarrassment or breaking a blameworthy promise.
