Is it permissible to pray in clothes that have holes at thigh level?

If what is beneath the holes in the garment covers the awrah (thigh), then the prayer is valid.

However, if the holes are exposed: 1. If the exposure was due to forgetfulness and was slight, the prayer is valid. 2. If it was not slight but was exposed for a short time unintentionally, the prayer is valid. 3. If the thigh is exposed in a manner other than the two aforementioned cases, the prayer is invalidated according to the majority of scholars, whereas it is not invalidated according to the Malikis.
