Does a divorce take place if a husband says to his pregnant wife: "If you try to be stubborn again or do anything contrary to what I want, you are divorced"? And how can she be returned to him if the divorce takes place?

It appears that a husband's statement to his wife, "You are divorced," takes effect when the condition it is contingent upon is met. Some scholars hold the view that the divorce does not occur if the intention behind it was to threaten or to urge the performance of an act, and in such a case, an expiation for breaking an oath is required. Determining whether the wife's words after the divorce was made contingent constitute defiance is left to the husband's intent and intention. If the divorce has occurred, and it is still the first or second divorce, the husband may take his wife back before her ' (waiting period) expires.
