The question concerns doubts raised about the people of the saved sect and their scholars, particularly in Africa, where Sufism has spread, and those who adhere to the Sunnah are accused of being Wahhabis who do not love the Prophet ﷺ. What is the response to those who claim that Sheikh Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) did not love the Prophet ﷺ because he did not visit his grave? Is it obligatory for a Muslim residing in the Hijaz to visit the grave of the Prophet ﷺ? What is the Islamic ruling on traveling specifically to visit graves? And what advice can be given to those who follow scholars who promote such misconceptions?

"It is not permissible to travel with the intention of visiting the grave of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, or anyone else. What is prescribed for someone who wants to visit him and is far away, is to intend by travelling to visit the Prophet's Mosque, and the visit to the grave will then be included as a consequence. As for intending to visit the grave only, this is not permissible along with undertaking travel specifically for that purpose. However, if one is nearby and does not need to undertake travel specifically for that purpose, there is no harm in that. For visiting his grave, peace and blessings be upon him, and the graves of his two companions without undertaking travel specifically for that purpose is a Sunnah (definition) and an act of drawing closer to Allah. Likewise, visiting the graves of the martyrs, the people of al-Baqi', and the graves of Muslims everywhere is a Sunnah and an act of drawing closer to Allah, but without undertaking travel specifically for that purpose. Visiting graves reminds one of the Hereafter, and the Sunnah is for the visitor to say: ""Peace be upon you, O dwellers of the abodes (graves), from among the believers and the Muslims, and we, if Allah wills, will join you soon. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you."" And what is said about the scholar Ibn Baz is pure fabrication.
