What is the ruling on buying dates on the palm trees while they are still green balah, before they turn into busr, knowing that the buyer undertakes to protect them from the dangers of rain?

It is impermissible to sell fruits before their ripeness becomes apparent and they are safe from blight. The appearance of ripeness in date palms is indicated by their color, whether they turn red or yellow. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the sale of date fruits until they “yazhū” (turn red or yellow). So, if the redness or yellowness appears, it becomes permissible to sell all the fruits of the orchard. The lawful way to deal with such situations is through a Salam contract.
