Does the inheritance division of "to the male, a share equivalent to that of two females" apply to male siblings, even though they do not bear the responsibility of financial support, and the sisters are the ones who provide for the family?

Inheritance is divided by Allah, and it is not permissible to alter its rulings. Whoever violates them has disobeyed Allah and transgressed His boundaries. Disobedience, coupled with deeming the ruling permissible to violate, necessitates eternity in Hellfire. As for mere transgression, its punishment is humiliating. Regarding the wisdom behind preferring the male over the female, it is not limited to financial support but encompasses broader matters. Wisdom does not cause a ruling to change if it is absent. The ruling here is tied to the 'illah (effective cause), not the hikmah (wisdom), and the 'illah is the heir being male.
