The answer

Drying the parts of ablution or is not forbidden. The disagreement among scholars revolves around whether it is disliked (makrooh), permissible (ja'iz), or contrary to what is better ( al-awla). Those who consider it disliked cite the of Maymuna, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, returned the towel after ghusl. As for those who say it is contrary to what is better, they hold that his abandonment of the towel indicates that it is better to leave it. However, the majority of scholars consider it permissible, and this is the more preponderant opinion, especially when there is a need to dry.
