Does the absence of mention of many great women in Islamic history mean the limited role of women, or the neglect of historians in documenting their achievements after the generation of the Companions?

Islam has honored women as mothers, wives, and daughters. The West accuses Muslims of violating women's rights to distance them from the Islamic methodology and turn them into cheap commodities. Allah the Almighty said: "And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion." Muslims must be certain that Islam is the true methodology in all its aspects. Allah the Almighty said: "Is it the judgment of [the time of] ignorance they desire? And who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who are certain [in faith]." Muslim women participated in public life as teachers, students, and mujahidat, while adhering to modesty. Among them were Hafsa bint Sirin, Umm ad-Darda' as-Sughra, and 'Amra bint 'Abd ar-Rahman.
