What is the ruling on scrupulousness and abstaining from the most minor matters and foods, and avoiding eating everything that is manufactured or that contains chemicals and oxidation derivatives, and abstaining from food even if it is from a host? Is the one who does this sinful or rewarded?

A Muslim's abstinence from anything that involves doubt or uncertainty regarding its unlawfulness or harm is praiseworthy and rewarded, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt," and "Whoever guards against doubtful matters, he has indeed absolved himself (in regard to) his religion and his honor," and "There should be no harm nor reciprocating harm."
