Has mankind been created upon evil or upon good? What is the significance of all people being the descendants of God's prophet Noah? Are Gog and Magog an exception to this? How sound is the assertion that Arabs have been created upon noble character traits, and that the Children of Ishmael and the Arabs are the best of Abraham's offspring? Does the phrase "purest of metal" apply to every Hashemite?

The illusion that the lineage of prophets necessitates goodness and good character is corrupt, and it is refuted by both religious texts and reality. All human beings are descendants of Noah (peace be upon him), and the Holy Quran mentions the disbelief of Noah's son in his father. Nobility by lineage is a virtue in general, not for specific individuals. How many people of high lineage possess base morals and characters? The origin of humanity is injustice and ignorance, except for those upon whom Allah has bestowed His mercy, as He says: "Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant" (Quran 33:72). Injustice and ignorance are not elevated except through Allah's teaching and His inspiration of guidance.
