What is the ruling on trimming thick eyebrows at the ends, and the hair connected to them outside the alignment of the eye, knowing that bleaching is harmful to the skin? And is it permissible to shave eyelashes to thicken them?

We mentioned that trimming eyebrow hair without necessity, or to remove a defect or disfigurement, is considered similar to namṣ (plucking) which is forbidden by Islamic law. And that there is no harm in removing excess hair from the eyebrow bone, whether it is below the bone, or on the eyelid, or if it grows above the eyebrows, not being part of them. As for what is connected to the eyebrows, its ruling is the same as theirs, meaning it is not permissible to take from it except for treatment or if it disfigures the appearance. It is permissible to adopt the Hanbali madhhab regarding the permissibility of trimming eyebrow hair without plucking for those who follow it, provided that it has not become clear to them that the truth lies elsewhere.
