What is the Sharīʿah ruling on marrying a girl who has been subjected to rape, given the difficulty in verifying the accuracy of the claim or its recency due to her family's delay in reporting it, and the resulting doubts that may affect conjugal life?

There is no sin upon one who is coerced into an act, as Allah the Almighty says: "except for him who is compelled thereto, while his heart is at rest in Faith," and as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah has overlooked for my Ummah mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are coerced into." So, if the woman is religious and of good character, and what happened was beyond her control, then rely on Allah and marry her, and compensate for what you missed in her with her character and religiosity, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Choose the religious one, and may your hands be soiled." If things do not work out, there is no sin in leaving her. Conceal the matter of the rape and cover her, and do not expose her.
