What is your advice to a committed young woman: should she continue her commitment or act upon what others say in order to get married, especially after being advised to get acquainted with a non-Arab person online, and given that her parents are separated?

Displaying oneself immodestly (tabarruj), unveiling (sufur), and getting acquainted with non- men for the purpose of marriage or otherwise, are forbidden and incur the wrath of Allah. A Muslim woman must be certain that provision (rizq) is in the hands of Allah alone, and one should not seek provision by disobeying Allah. Sins deprive one of provision and remove blessings, and may lead to gradual enticement (istidraj) from Allah. It is permissible for a woman to offer herself in marriage to a righteous man, provided that she adheres to the Islamic guidelines.
