Why does the dog howl when the call to prayer is made?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded seeking refuge with Allah from Satan upon hearing the barking of a dog because dogs see what we do not. The barking of a dog upon hearing the adhan might be due to its seeing devils fleeing, as it is confirmed that Satan flees upon hearing the adhan and farts loudly. Alternatively, the dog itself might be a manifested devil. Therefore, whenever a dog barks, it may have seen something we do not see, and thus it is prescribed to seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
