Is it permissible to take the full wage when the expected daily work is completed in less time than agreed upon?

If the contract specifies a duration (e.g., seven hours), then it is obligatory to work the full stipulated period, even if the work is completed before that time. If less than the duration is worked, then only the wage for the completed work is deserved. However, if the contract combines both a specified duration and work, there is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding its validity. The majority hold it to be invalid due to gharar (excessive uncertainty), while some validate it, considering the work to be the primary objective. In this latter case, the worker is entitled to the full wage if they perform the required work in a shorter period.
