Is delaying prayer until the time of necessity without an excuse considered a major sin, or is it like abandoning prayer until its time has expired, or is it a minor sin?

Whoever delays a prayer beyond its time due to a valid excuse incurs no sin. However, whoever delays a prayer without a valid excuse until the time of the next prayer enters is sinful. This delay is not among the major sins; rather, it is removing the prayer entirely from its time that constitutes a major sin. Allah Almighty has promised "Ghayy" for such an act, which is a valley in Hell. Neglecting prayer and deliberately letting it pass are considered among the greatest major sins.
