To what extent is what is mentioned true, that the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to see infrared and ultraviolet rays, based on hadiths such as his seeing angels and devils, his seeing at night as he sees by day, and his seeing those praying behind him, citing the verse "So We have removed from you your cover, and your sight today is sharp" to explain these abilities?

The Quran and Sunnah are sources of guidance, not sources of natural sciences. However, they contain proven scientific inimitability. One must be cautious when discussing scientific inimitability based on conjecture, lest a Muslim fall under the indictment of speaking about God without knowledge. Some of the mentioned hadiths are authentic (such as the supplication upon hearing the crow of roosters, seeking refuge upon hearing the braying of donkeys, devils infiltrating the rows [of worshippers], and angels washing Hamza and Hanzalah), while others are weak or fabricated (such as the Prophet seeing in darkness as he sees in light). The gathering of angels and devils in one place is possible. Scholars differed regarding the addressee of Allah's saying: "So your sight today is sharp" [Quran 50:22]. The Prophet's miracles regarding vision are established by hadiths and do not require inference from this verse. It is not permissible to assert that the cause of his vision, peace and blessings be upon him, was ultraviolet rays without evidence. The interpretation of "Qasirat al-Tarf 'Ein" [Quran 37:48, 38:52, 55:56] as natural nearsightedness is unknown among scholars; rather, it refers to them restricting their gaze to their husbands.
