What is the ruling on praying in a mosque where women are present and mix with men during ablution and the like, and where there are things that incite temptation?

You must be keen to attend congregational prayers at the mosque, and perform ablution at home to avoid areas where women are present in the mosque. Lower your gaze if you are compelled to perform ablution there. The Muslim woman must fear Allah and cover what Allah has commanded her to cover, and she should know that her prayer in her home is better: "The woman is 'awrah (nakedness/private part), and when she goes out, Shaytan (Satan) entices her. And she is never closer to Allah than when she is in the deepest part of her house." She must avoid crowding men or exposing her 'awrah; for the Prophet, peace be upon him, commanded women to stay away from the middle of the road and adhere to its edges. How much more so then for ablution areas where women's 'awrah might be exposed? Therefore, avoid places of temptation and mixing, choose the mosque farthest from women, and perform your ablution at home.
