Is it permissible for a woman to work as a notary public (ʿadūl ishdād) and for her money to be consumed?

There is no objection to a Muslim woman working as a court clerk or a contracts authenticator, provided that the contracts do not violate Islamic law and that she adheres to Islamic manners. Her salary resulting from this work is halal (definition), and she is permitted to consume from it and give charity.
