What is the ruling on working in a mixed-gender university that includes female students who are immodestly dressed, knowing that the lecturer advises [them] and hastens to leave after delivering the lecture?

Mixing and displaying adornment (tabarruj) in educational settings are reprehensible acts that lead to many evils. Therefore, Islamic law has commanded their avoidance as a preventative measure (sadd al-dhara'i') and to curb corruption. However, if a person is compelled to work in such an environment, they should seek another job free from evil. Nevertheless, they must commit to lowering their gaze, enjoining good, and forbidding evil, in accordance with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; if he cannot, then with his heart—and that is the weakest of faith."
