What should I do if I arrive for the Istisqa' (prayer for rain) during the sermon at the prayer ground; should I make up the prayer or sit down?

There is no harm if a person prays and supplicates when they miss the Rain Prayer (Salat al-Istisqa), as there is no from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding this. However, there is no objection to it.
