What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding parents' refusal to marry their daughter to a young man due to financial reasons, knowing that the father previously dealt with him amicably but then turned against him, and what are the implications of this, such as humiliating the daughter and threatening the young man and his family?

Obeying one's parents is among the best deeds, and Allah has enjoined kindness to them, placing their right after His own. Therefore, the questioner must obey her parents and bear their harshness patiently, and not disobey them regarding the matter of marriage, especially if they have reasons for rejecting the young man. She must cut off the relationship with the young man and repent for disobeying her parents, accepting Allah’s decree, for Allah will compensate her with something better. There is no sin upon her if she remembers the young man, as long as it does not affect her new marriage.
