Is working in insurance companies unlawful (haram)?

If the department specializes in commercial insurance, then it is not permissible to study or work in it, unless the intention of studying it is to expose its corruption. As for working in it, it is absolutely forbidden. However, there is no harm in studying or working in cooperative Takaful insurance.
