It is recommended to supplicate for the renewal of faith, and to stay away from forbidden things, as they are the foundation of a sound and soft heart. Also, to reflect on the Quran and act upon its rulings, to remember Allah, to perform night prayers ( al-Layl), to fast during the day, to humbly beseech Allah in the pre-dawn hours, and to associate with the righteous.
