What is the difference between Ansar al-Sunnah and Sufism, what is the reason for the disputes between them, and why does each consider the other to be an innovator and astray?

Sheikh Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on introducing new sects and ways that were not practiced by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) or his Companions. He replied that this is not permissible and is considered an innovation (bid'ah).

He added that the Jama'at Ansar al-Sunnah al-Muhammadiyah in Egypt and Sudan calls for adherence to the Qur'an and Sunnah, and they are not among the deviant sects. Rather, they are among the "saved sect" described by the Prophet (peace be upon him) as "the Jama'ah" that united upon the truth and followed the path of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Companions.

He emphasized that it is incumbent upon Muslims to adhere to this path, which is the path of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
