Is marriage without the parents' knowledge forbidden and considered a violation of the Quran?

If the parents' refusal to allow their daughter to marry a Muslim young man is due to their desire for her to marry a non-Muslim, then obedience to them is not obligatory, and it is permissible to marry him. However, if the refusal is for other reasons related to his behavior or conduct, it is preferable to seek another husband whom everyone approves of, in accordance with the noble verse: (And live with them in the world kindly). If an agreement on a Muslim person cannot be reached, the decision rests solely with the woman, and a Muslim guardian from her relatives, or the director of the Islamic center, or the imam of the mosque, must solemnize the marriage contract.
