It is not permissible to buy food tickets from the company at a reduced price, then sell them or use them to buy household and food items. This is because these tickets are considered equivalent to food, and it is not permissible to sell food before taking possession of it. This is a point of consensus among scholars due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) prohibition of it when he said: "Whoever buys food, let him not sell it until he takes possession of it." The fact that the price is symbolic does not alter this ruling.
